The Fatahillah museum




The Fatahillah museum that also was known as the Museum of History Jakarta or the Batavia Museum to be a museum that was located in Street Taman Fatahillah No. 2, Jakarta Barat widely more than 1.300 square meters.

This building previously was a Town Hall (Dutch: Stadhuis) that was built in the year 1707-1710 on the orders of General Johan van Hoorn Governor. On March 30 1974, this building was afterwards declared as the Fatahillah Museum.


Architecture

Architecture his building was in an age style 17th stylish Barok classic [reconciliation? ] with three floors with the yellow paint the land, kusen the door and the window from colored teak wood dark green.

This museum had the area more than 1.300 square meters.


Collection

The object collection that could be met in this museum including the Jakarta history trip, the replica of the legacy of the Tarumanegara period and Pajajaran, results of the excavation of archeology in Jakarta, antique furniture from the 17th age to 19, that was the blend from the European style, the People's Republic of China, and Indonesia.
